As we were driving to check out some of the most beautiful beaches, I mentioned to Ian that I was craving a burger.. He knew right where to take me. A little burger stop in Tweedhead in Queensland. It was called the Works Burger. Bun, lettuce, tomato, burger, bbq sauce, fried egg, bacon, cheese, grilled pineapple and a slice or two of beets.. yep all on one burger! I thought "well..when in Oz, do as the Aussies"
It was surprisingly tasty, I was a bit worried about the beets, but they provided an interesting flavor and it was a good burger experience over all..
Now if only I could recreate this for my US friends to enjoy..
